Tangerine Lip Balm

There is a reason we keep coming back to tangerine. The essential oil sits cleanly on top of the warmth of the beeswax, lifting it without ever turning into something synthetic or sickly. The colour, a soft golden orange, comes from a few specks of annatto seed, the same seed traditional cheesemakers use to colour Red Leicester.

The balm goes on smoothly, melts to body temperature in a few seconds and leaves a subtle, protective film. We use cold-pressed sweet almond oil for its high oleic-acid content - it absorbs without feeling greasy and is rich in vitamin E.

Each pot is filled by hand in our Cheshire kitchen, sealed with a wooden lid, and posted in plastic-free packaging.
